A Better Way. A Better Future.
From an early age, the mantra of “service before self” has been etched into my core values. While, over the past decade, I, like many of you, have been continually disappointed by our selfish state legislature, I am, also, enduringly hopeful that, if people of action stand up and speak out, we can show the officials in Montgomery that there is a Better Way forward.
We can show them that we deserve a living, minimum wage; that we deserve a health care system that truly provides access to those who need it most; that we deserve a criminal system that is finally worthy of the term ‘justice’; that we expect and demand our state treat all of its citizens as equals under the law; and, that we deserve an educational system where success outcomes are not largely predicated on the incomes of our parents.
My name is Jerome Dees, and I’m running for House District 54. Join me in this fight, because “the fierce urgency of now” dictates that there is no time but the present to forge that Better Future.
Let's Get to Work.
